More Than 72 Years Of Combined Contracting Experience
CESC Corporate Synopsis 2019
Career Education Services Company (CESC), founded in January 2004 by J. Craig Martin, leverages over 30 years of his experience in workforce development and Job Corps Center management. CESC has been pivotal in offering diverse youth services and training programs, under Mr. Martin’s leadership, before transitioning ownership to Margaret Butler in 2019. As the new President and CEO, Mrs. Butler is steering CESC towards innovative employment and training programs in collaboration with federal, state, and local partners.
Mr. Martin’s extensive involvement with Job Corps, including significant roles at various centers, set a strong foundation for CESC. His leadership helped secure a National Director Letter of Commendation for the Turner Job Corps Center and guided CESC’s operations of the Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Center until December 2019. These efforts culminated in numerous accolades for efficiency and a top national ranking for educational attainment.
Today, under Mrs. Butler’s direction, CESC continues to champion workforce development, building upon a legacy of excellence and commitment to empowering individuals through education and job training.
Corporate Support and Management
The leadership at CESC comprises seasoned workforce development professionals with a track record of managing over $85 million in federal job training funds since 1991. These experienced individuals have played direct roles in supervising, administering, and operating federally funded job training contracts across a range of states, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
To ensure effective contract operations, CESC has assembled a team of skilled professionals covering finance, administration, human resources, staff development, and program operations. This diverse and talented group contributes to the foundation of CESC’s mission statement, recognizing that the success of an employment and training company hinges on the values upheld by key personnel and the relationships they foster with their staff and the partnerships they serve.
